Sharing a neighbours WiFi … or not …

Stumbled across upside-down-ternet a while back. I love the idea of fiddling with their web stream as they use your connection! Of course, its not quite so amusing when a large ISP does it too

Of course some people don’t mind running an open WiFi connection and others actively encourage you to share it.

I started writing this post, using a stylus on a virtual keyboard in a text-only web browser (called ‘links’) on my Nintendo DS running Linux.  It got as far as the ‘post’ part, at which point I got a weird error, (I don’t think ‘links’ supports JavaScript), so it didn’t quite make it all the way, shame.

Linux on a Nintendo DS is quite a bit of fun though (if you like that sort of thing).  It connects using the built-in WiFi.  Also supports IRC, but you really need an extra memory card (like the one you get with the official NDS Browser) to do anything useful.
